I don't really even know what this is. I decided to do a stream-of-consciousness piece; half the time I just stared at something in my room as I typed whatever words or phrases popped into my head. Sometimes a scene or photo would pop into my head, and I'd simply describe it. I didn't bother to use proper punctuation, phrasing, or even take the time to re-read what I had written. My next project is to take what follows and transform it into a full-fledged, cohesive piece. We shall see how this develops.
Once, when the sky was black, the ocean faded. Absolution of sins carried away with the winds of change into a deepness- familiarity and a succession of the throne made headlines. People revolted. Streets swarmed, papers swirled, minutia heaved into an emptiness of heart enclosed behind hazel eyes peering deeply into the warmth of heaven. Silver miracles daubed with gold leaf sold as prized possessions, childhood joy. He jumped saw swam perhaps level with the sky and truth beamed from behind a cabinet mixing with precious similarities and vicious capabilities. Heaven slowly formed a line of curious passersby who complained of foot pain and arthritis simply forgoing the usual tedium in favor of better days when life could close down in a hunger reserved for those with empty fervor. Let it off to be with better company decked in feather boas and leather sneakers big bags smooth books journals filled with notes and cigarette ash tamped down to form letters, tack marks, brass tacks, brass knuckles, substance abuse concealed by an invigorating sense of diplomacy: life swelled, shelter masked and monkeys ran through the streets kissing babies on the forehead, leaving lipstick marks to be wiped away by the grime of the streets. Most of the work he did was immeasurable leaving a void, water marks stained where the red line met the eye on the counter, spilling liquid over the edge down to brown suede shoes scuffed down to unrecognizable states of squalor. Come back to the lot where we settled down in purple folding chairs and umbrellas shaded us from the sun until the wind picked up and her hair blew in sheets into his eyes without a care took a finger to push back the life they had grown apart from.
